1. Who these terms are with

comboslate.com is published by an individual, Thomas Donovan, of Level 2/187 George St, Brisbane City QLD 4000, Australia, telephone +61 451 212 344, email notes@comboslate.com. By reading the site you accept these terms; for Slate Weekly, sections 6 and 7 are the agreement between us.

2. What ComboSlate is, and what it is not

ComboSlate is an editorial site about free mobile match-3 games: written notes and a comparison table. It is not a shop, an app store or a game operator: no game can be downloaded here and no in-game content is sold or unlocked.

Links to Google Play go to the developer's own listing; installation, in-app purchases and refunds are between you, the developer and Google LLC.

3. No connection with developers or with Google LLC

The publisher is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by the developers of the three titles described here, and has no commercial relationship with Google LLC. Google Play and the Google Play logo are trade marks of Google LLC.

4. Editorial content and accuracy

The notes are one person's opinion after playing each title, describing the versions available in Australia at the date on the front page. Games change between updates. Scores in the comparison table are the developers' public Google Play figures for the Australian store, not the publisher's own measurement. If something here is wrong, write in; corrections are noted on the page they affect.

5. Intellectual property

The text, the comparison table, the layout, the wordmark and the code are the publisher's own work, protected by the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). You may quote a short passage with a visible credit and a link. Copying a whole page, republishing the table or reusing the material to train a commercial model needs written permission.

Application icons and screenshots belong to the studios that made the games and appear here small, for criticism and reporting. If you own one and would rather it were removed, write in and it will be taken down without argument.

6. Slate Weekly — the paid subscription

• What it is. An email letter from the publisher: a level or board concept designed on paper, a walkthrough, a booster-chain diagram and answers to questions.
• What it is not. Not a code, an unlock, a cheat or an advantage inside any game.
• Price. A$0.95 per month, charged monthly in Australian dollars.
• How it starts. You email the publisher, receive the price in writing with a payment link, and it begins only after you confirm in a reply.
• Delivery. One letter each Thursday to the address you subscribed with; a missed week is added to your paid period.
• How it ends. Reply to any letter with the word stop. The subscription ends at the close of the month already paid for; nothing further is charged.

7. Australian Consumer Law

Slate Weekly is supplied to consumers in Australia, so the consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) apply and cannot be excluded: the letter must be supplied with due care and skill, be fit for the purpose described here and match its description. If it is not, you are entitled to a remedy — a repeat delivery for a minor failure, cancellation and a refund for a major one.

To ask for a remedy, write with the date and subject line of the letter concerned. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission publishes information about these rights at www.accc.gov.au.

8. Fair use of the site

Please do not break into the server, scrape the site at a rate that degrades it for others, or present the material as your own.

9. Availability and limits

The publisher tries to keep the site available and correct, but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, and gives no guarantee about games run by other companies. Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which adds a measurement script of its own; the privacy statement says what it reports. To the extent the law allows, and apart from section 7, the publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Links to other sites

Links to Google Play and to regulators are provided for convenience; the publisher does not control those pages or their privacy practices.

11. Complaints before any legal step

If you have a complaint, write to notes@comboslate.com with the subject line Complaint. You will get an acknowledgement within five business days and an answer within 30 days. Both sides agree to try this before starting a proceeding.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia; disputes go to the courts of Queensland and the federal courts. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

13. Changes to these terms

These terms may be rewritten as the site changes; the date in effect appears at the top. A change affecting Slate Weekly is announced in a letter first, and if you do not accept it you may stop under section 6.
